Hackfest, Icelands Claw Lord

From the land of Eternal Ice, one man stands out as the most cruel, fierce warrior, as well as the most powerful, cunning, efficient general : Hackfest.

Born in 487, second son of the Lord of the Crystal Palace, he was not destined to rule. As the First Prince, he inherited the duty of Claw leader, the general of the Palace armies. The country was very close to the Southern Pole Border, the countries where ice can never melt, even when heated. The Pole being the place dead souls are attracted before being funneled into the World Core (from which only the Chosen will escape and be sent back at the North Pole to be reincarnated on Birth Day), lots of souls manage to stay longer by possessing animals or human settlers. Then, they head north, looking to warm their bodies and pretend they are alive again.

After Hackfest had to kill his possessed bride, he undertook several expeditions to the South pole to restore its failing soul attraction properties. He crushed the Light Magnet Sect that was leeching its powers and brought back the Magnet to the South Pole. He kept the Magnet Gems the Sect members had carved for themselves, and brought them back to the Crystal Palace. He then built the Great Dragon Farms, and bred a particular race of dragons called the Gem Dragons. He kept 5,000 dragons of adult age, each one being inserted a Magnet Gem under the forehead's skin, to attract a lost soul. Possessed dragons would then be bound by magic and a Pact signed, so the soul could remain within the dragon's body until it died, provided it will serve Hackfest and breed enough dragons to maintain the cheptel.

Hackfest's heart had died with his beloved. He then turned to conquering the world. During a ceremonial gathering, he provoked his brothers into duels and killed them one by one, in front of a horrified crowd. He then killed his sisters and all his relatives, claiming his blood will die with him. He then gave his cavalry his dragons, that at the time served as carriers, warrior companions, but also prevented any attempt of rebellion.

His army then engaged battle with other Iceland Palaces, and conquered them one by one. He started the Absorption Ceremony, in which the most fierce warrior from the enemy lines was spotted, taken alive whatever the life cost, then put to death in front of a 'Blank' Gem Dragon, in order to absorb his skills and ferocity. Within 15 years, the whole continent was his, and his army unbeatable.

He reached the limits of the southern hemisphere and crossed the Equator progressing along the Giant Bridge straits. His armies destroyed all cities and villages they encountered, and caused the end of the Gimmorian civilization, as Gimmorian Priests used their powers to transform the population into human / shark creatures, later known as the Sharkmen.

He then turned his greed ont the Jayan Islands, the jewels of the Equatorial Ocean. Unfortunately for him, he was never prepared to sea warfare, and lots of men and dragons from his army were lost at sea.

Going back to his Crystal Palace, he gathered 500 Magnet Gems and had an armour made out of them. He ordered the blacksmiths to craft an armour that would cover every inch of his body. He also ordered them to build a Magnet Gems Throne on which he could seat with his armour and committed another 1,000 gems for the work. Then, he asked all to leave the Crystal Palace and seal the doors behind them. The remaining Dragons were put in charge of keeping the gates. He didn't even bother to name a successor and left his Empire to fall in anarchy and civil wat between his generals.

He put on his armour and sat on his throne, waiting for death to come. Trapped for Eternity within his armour, is soul would remain there, with no possibility to be reincarnated in a world he hated...
